SPECIAL FEATURES:
This Qualicaps inspection machine combines computer image processing and a CCD line camera with a capsule grinding-transfer mechanism. The capsule appearance is inspected by directly capturing the image with the camera, checking its orientation, and rotating the capsule during intermittent transfer. The small footprint of the installation allows for direct connection to a filling machine, and the filler can be inspected based on the percentage of defects detected. Inspection is fast and highly accurate. The multi-row rotary grinding system is used to control the direction and stop the rotation of the capsules for inspection at a throughput of 50,000 capsules per hour, resulting in high-precision inspection with no blind spots. The capsule grinding and transport mechanism, already proven effective in filling and sealing machines, ensures gentle capsule feeding and stable inspection accuracy, making unmanned operation possible. The following defects can be detected: foreign bodies, dirt, tears, broken capsules, chips, punctures, crushing, cracks, dents, double capsules, capsule creases, tears (unhinged capsules), dissimilarities, unprinted capsules, length defects, and printing defects. Capsule grinding is performed by the multi-row rotary grinding equipment. Grinding enables accurate inspection and high-speed image processing, which is superior in terms of stability and reliability. The ground capsules are transferred to the inspection drum which rotates intermittently at high speed. The parallel illumination allows highly accurate and reliable inspections without dead angles. Defective capsules are discharged from the inspection drum rotating intermittently by compressed air. The graphic panel is equipped as standard and the current operation and inspection can be monitored by camera, line by line in real time.
