SPECIAL FEATURES:
The printer consists of a printhead connected to the stainless steel cabinet via a flexible duct. The cabinet contains an ink system and an electronic control system operated via a panel on the cabinet door. The ink system is mounted on a frame, allowing it to be removed from the cabinet. The printhead components are mounted on a rigid frame, with a fully enclosed upper section containing the connections between the head and the wiring. Each printed character consists of a dot matrix made of lines, or strokes, of ink drops. The ink drops in each stroke are spaced by electronic deflection, and the strokes are spaced by the movement of the printing surface beneath the head. Control, maintenance, and fault reporting are performed via the front panel in communication with the electronics. The ink system supplies the printhead with ink at the correct pressure and viscosity.
