SPECIAL FEATURES:
The printer consists of a printhead connected to the stainless steel cabinet via a flexible duct. The cabinet contains an ink system and an electronic control system operated via a panel on the cabinet door. The ink system is mounted on a frame, allowing it to be removed from the cabinet. The printhead components are mounted on a rigid frame, with a fully enclosed upper section containing the connections between the printhead and the wiring. The cabinet is made of stainless steel with doors to two separate compartments. The upper door contains the printer control panel. The duct to the printhead and all external connections is accessed from the left side. There are carrying handles on both sides of the cabinet. Each printed character consists of a dot matrix made of lines, or strokes, of ink drops. The ink drops in each stroke are spaced by electronic deflection, and the strokes are spaced by the movement of the print surface beneath the head. Control, maintenance, and fault reporting are performed via the front panel in communication with the electronic system. The printer is entirely software-controlled. The ink system supplies the printhead with ink at the right pressure and viscosity. The printer contains an ink tank and is equipped with a device for checking the efficiency of the encoder and the print command sensor.
