Used MACC SPECIAL 300 automatic band saw, featuring vertical rotation on a pivot with adjustable, backlash-free tapered bearings. The band saw is driven by a two-speed motor and a special reduction gear with bronze gears and a hardened and ground worm screw. The band guides are sturdy thanks to sealed guide bearings and adjustable carbide inserts. Blade tensioning is achieved by manually rotating the handwheel and is guaranteed by an electromechanical device. A safety device is installed on the flywheel cover, the control knob, and the blade. The vice is equipped with a quick-approach device and pneumatic locking. The semi-automatic band saw also features a large rotating material shelf, an adjustable stop for evenly sized cuts, and a removable chip collection tray. The fundamental characteristics of the metal saw (blade support rigidity, flywheel sizing, band guides, band tensioning) have been carefully studied to avoid band yielding, increase its life, improve linearity and cutting time.
