SPECIAL FEATURES:
The vertical laminar flow hood is equipped with three HEPA filters: an upper fan pushes air through a main filter, from which a laminar flow emerges that strikes the work surface. The air passes over the work surface (made of perforated steel) and is sucked in by a lower fan; the air is pushed through a second filter in the space above the main filter. 30% of the air is returned to the outside (after filtering through a third filter). The hood has a glass screen, which is used for greater operator safety.
The hood is a Class II category, meaning that its function is to protect both the operator and the sample, ensuring absolutely sterile conditions.
This hood consists of a perforated stainless steel plate that allows air to enter after being previously filtered through a system of two closely spaced HEPA filters. Thirty percent of the air exits the hood, while the remaining 70% remains inside the hood. The partial air release creates a vacuum that draws it back in, establishing a continuous flow. Air enters the hood with a vertical flow, preventing microorganisms from escaping the work environment and contaminating the operator (in the case of pathogenic microorganisms).
This hood is suitable for handling Group II and Group III microorganisms.
