The SUPER UNIT MAXIMA (50x80 format) is a front-trimming stitching-folding machine
for producing booklets and catalogues.

STITCHING MACHINE
Capable of using up to 6 stitching heads.
Supplied as standard with 2 stitching heads and 2 spools of 0.5 mm thread, each capable of approximately 80,000 stitching cycles.
Booklets are stapled on all 4 sides using C-shaped squares through which the material flows and pneumatically controlled gates that stapled the material. Only after the stitching cycle has been completed is the booklet transferred to the next folding station. Since the stitching squares are the same as those on the folder, adjusting the stapling squares immediately adjusts the folding unit as well, thus avoiding errors.

FOLDING MACHINE
The electronically controlled folding knife performs the cycle from the bottom up and does not require any adjustment when changing format or thickness. Folding is performed by means of preloaded steel rollers with adjustable pressure.

FRONT TRIMMING
The booklet, always pressed over the entire surface to completely eliminate air, is stopped under the front cutting unit where 11 compensating cylinders apply a pressure of over 100 kg on the edge. The blade, inclined at approximately 30°, performs the “scissor” type cut assisted by a self-sharpening counterblade. Maximum cutting thickness 6 mm.
When processing catalogues with very delicate covers, it is possible to select a command that electronically stops the transport belts while the cutting blade performs the complete cycle.

SCALED OUTPUT
BELT Conveyor for scaling the sewn booklets, complete with a programmable preselector for separating the scales at the desired number of booklets. The conveyor can accommodate a total of approximately 80 booklets (variable data depending on the material being processed)

The net production speed depends on factors beyond the manufacturer's control, including the format, quality and thickness of the finished booklet, material and operating conditions.

Weight: From 50 to 300 g/m2.
When folding sheets over 200 g/m2, it is recommended to first crease.
When processing booklets made of paper with characteristics outside the aforementioned limits, it is advisable to request a feasibility test from the manufacturer.
