The CVM CFI-S 120 Flap Closer is a machine used for sealing packages with adhesive tape, an efficient industrial solution for carton packaging. This model, produced by CVM in 2005, stands out for its compact size and efficient closing of boxes with adhesive tape applied to both the top and bottom of the cartons.
Visually, the CVM CFI-S 120 presents a robust and modular structure, with a steel frame that makes it stable and suitable for intensive production environments. The machine is equipped with a conveyor belt approximately 4 meters long, with centering devices that guide the packages to the sealing area. The presence of two rollers – one upper and one lower – facilitates the simultaneous application of adhesive tape above and below the package. Its total length is approximately 6.1 meters, with a width of 2.3 meters and a height of 4.3 meters, thus requiring adequate space in the warehouse or on the production line.
This model is designed to handle packages with a maximum opening width of 680 mm and a passage height of up to 1300 mm. The minimum package length is 300 mm, while the maximum length can reach 1200 mm. Production capacity reaches approximately 2.5 packages per minute, making the machine suitable for medium to large packaging lines. Its automatic feeding system allows for a continuous work flow, with a feed speed of up to 17 meters per minute.
The CVM CFI-S 120 features two adhesive tape application units, one longitudinal for the upper part and one for the lower part, with a total power of 11.68 kW. Among additional accessories, it can be equipped with an automatic centering system to ensure packages are always correctly positioned during the sealing phase. The integration of a conveyor belt improves operational flow and reduces manual intervention.
The machine is quite simple to use: the packages are placed on the conveyor belt, and thanks to the automatic feed and centering system, the adhesive tape is applied precisely. To keep the machine in good condition, it is important to regularly clean the rollers and adhesive tape feed systems. Periodic lubrication of the mechanical parts is necessary to ensure a long life.
To optimize performance, you can calculate the optimal belt feed speed based on package size and desired throughput. For example, to maximize the number of packages sealed per hour, you can use the formula:
Production capacity (p/h) = Belt speed (m/min) × 60 Pack length (m) \text{Production capacity (p/h)} = \frac{\text{Belt speed (m/min)} \times 60}{\text{Pack length (m)}}
Where the belt speed can reach 17 m/min.
The CVM CFI-S 120 is widely used in the logistics, distribution, and industrial packaging sectors. Purchasing a used model like this offers significant economic benefits, reducing investment costs without compromising performance. Furthermore, since it is a field-tested machine, it can provide greater operational reliability.
Buying a used machine in excellent condition like the CVM CFI-S 120 allows you to get high quality equipment at a lower price than a new model.
