The Terra Select T4 Rotary Screener is a used machine ideal for screening materials such as soil, compost, green waste, and industrial waste. This model, produced in 2009, stands out for its versatility and robustness.
The Terra Select T4 has a compact and robust design, with a main structure that supports the screening drum. Visually, it presents itself with a large drum measuring 4,200 mm in length and 1,600 mm in diameter . The loading hopper has a capacity of 3.4 m³ 3,400 mm long conveyor belts for evacuating the screened material. The overall weight of the machine is 10,200 kg , making it stable and resistant to heavy-duty working conditions.
The heart of the screener is the 60 kW (80 hp) Perkins , which offers enough power to handle a throughput of up to 70 m³/h . The tank has a capacity of 160 litres , ensuring long working hours without the need for refuelling. The operating dimensions are 11,800 mm long , 6,800 mm wide and 3,300 mm high , while the transport dimensions are reduced to 9,500 mm long , 2,550 mm wide and 3,950 mm high , making it easier to transport the machine.
The T4 Rotary Screen is easy to use, with a relatively simple operation: the material is loaded into the hopper, passes into the rotating drum where it is separated by size, and is then transported away via belts. Accessories such as a drum cleaning system (brushes or scrapers) can be added to improve drum cleanliness and maintain operational efficiency.
To determine optimal operating parameters, it's useful to calculate the drum rotation speed and material flow rate, based on basic formulas such as angular velocity. An important parameter is production capacity, which can be monitored to optimize consumption and efficiency.
Maintenance is essential to ensure the screener functions properly over time. The main interventions involve regular cleaning of the drum and lubrication of moving parts. Periodically checking mechanical components for wear is essential to avoid machine downtime.
